It's a matter of swithching around a couple rounds to make things equitable... If anything, an advantage in early bulk should go to Slots 8 thru 11 since their round choices are at the end and are somewhat impotent. The exact opposite occurs as the numbers above show.

Novie, I hear you, had #11 once before and the same happened.

Hence the suggestion to draft only players by primary position. I would have lost out as Gibson would not have been mine, but then the catcher round would have had some value.

It also seems that picking your own round is too much of an advantage, suggest some other method.

If you have some other approach, I would be interested as this can be a fun theme.

sschu... it's crazy that your thoughts are almost exactly what I have put together!!!!

the changes:

1. Pre-determined positions for each round.
2. Altered the order of the rounds to try to balance the opportunities for hitting and pitching.
3. Created a Pre-Draft Round where all the 1st picks of each round are made prior to the rest of the drafting.

Think it will really be a different approach that will provide some equity/balance, without taking away the strategy of drafting players outside of their primary position throughout the entire draft.
