2006 Roster help please...

Postby abilton » Tue Mar 21, 2006 1:44 am

Its my first time playing 2006, I thought I had built a really strong roster but I got smashed tonight in my opening 3 games. Check my roster and let me know where I should improve, I know its only 3 games so im not too worried but it made me double a guess a few things. Thanks for any help in advance :D

Soriano at 2nd is your glaring weakness upon a quick review. You CANNOT play a 4 at 2nd base!!!! The best pitching in the set will look like .50 ones with him manning 2nd. Heck, its not like he can hit anyways.

Ditto...

Especially in a pitcher's park.

He's strictly a DH.

Find out what your team can do in the WBC Pre Season Tournament... Have a few spots left for new teams.. we are wavering the between the Waver period and the start of the season for 1st week teams..

Look at our Tread... you could play up to 90 games ...

Not that I'm an expert but I never like putting my sluggers in a singles park. You've negated all your power. Plus drafting mediocre pitchers never works. Your starting pitching is mediocre at best. Your relief staff is horrible. Remember you are always going up against the best hitters. I know it's tough with the salary cap but you have left yourself vulnerable. Don't mean to get so down on you but I think you're in for a tough season

Thats ok, thanks for the help guys. Its a learning curve. I dumped Soriano and picked up Belliard to play 2B but I had to dump Buehrle as well :? to add to my pitching woes.....ahh well see how it goes tonight.

there are many succesful pitchers in the 1-3 mil range the last few years--and this year looks to be the same. especially in a pitchers park.
