HELP! AWOL mngr, opening day MON.: johnflynn, ray fritz

This team's manager is AWOL. What can be done? If this team plays opening day without changes, it will lock in the roster and give a huge unfair advantage to the other teams in its division for winning the wild card (and first seed for the division winner). I've never contacted Bernie or the SOM staff so I don't know what to do. Can the team be temporarily "managed" (by someone outside the league) before the opening series to at least set it up properly (and after that allow the computer manager to take over)?

Evidence that the manager is AWOL is provided below.

SEE:

1) I sent a trade offer to the team right after the draft and got no response
2) The team didn't drop anybody or make a trade before waivers
3) The team made no waiver claims
4) The team has made no changes in the [edit:] twenty-seven hours after waivers
5) The team has left $6.4m of cap on the table
6) The team will have three outfielders on the bench who each are worth more than 2.2m (no-DH league)
7) The team's SS and 2B are both under $1.0m,
8) The team has four starred starters but still has a fifth who costs more than $2.5m
9) In an evenly balanced park the team has only one LH starting hitter

What's the right way to contact Bernie about this?

If he's still MIA, I'd love to take over...

Thanks, visick.

I waited to do anything else because I thought somebody would tell me how to reach Bernie, but NOOOOOO! So I tried three different addresses an hour ago -- probably too late. (The SOM sites are so frequently outdated that I didn't know which address was the "good" one.)

Spring break

Postby chasenally » Mon Mar 22, 2010 8:01 pm

My kid is on spring break and if I was working and had the money I might just leave town for 10 to 12 days. Camping to Cancun. I caught a sailfish in Cancun 2 years ago. Fishing or Strat tough choice there. He might just be on vacation. I wouldn't panic just yet. I told myself that I wouldn't post anymore after being such a a hole jerk, dunkin sutpor, pain reliever induced doucebag 2 weekends ago to Ineluki so here is my post and my heartfelt apoligy to Ineluki. Mike I must add that my son was at his grandmothers house 95 miles away at that time and I don't do that when he is home for those that might be worried about him.

Thank you for responding, chase. I'm concerned that after tonight any changes he makes will cost 20%, and it looks like a lot are necessary; after being terrible for who knows how many games, the team will lose a lot of cap, giving an unfair advantage to his division for the wild card and possibly the first division-winner seed. The other thing is, his manager rating is 0 (zero), suggesting he's never played before (I haven't looked up his record). Also, the league (1969) was sitting there unfilled for a really long time (only four managers till two weeks ago or so) and he was one of the first four, so who knows how long ago he signed up, or (as a rookie) if he realized he should use his "main" email address for notification.
