[quote:940ee3e7b0="Frank M"]So, the way I see it I may as well leave either Lajoie or Wagner off the teams I have b/c either one of them is getting screwed here. Or is it based on who you have on your roster after the draft and your line-up is set. And does a player gets screwed based on his primary position only? So if I play a player at say SS whose primary position is another and Wagner is not on my roster, the player playing SS can only get screwed at his primary position thereby allowing me to pick-up Wagner to play SS? Or b/c Wagner is on the grouping roster he still gets screwed? Do I have it right or am I still out in RF?[/quote:940ee3e7b0]
If you put both of them on the roster at SS and 2B, one will almost assuredly be deleted (I know, because I'm the one screwing you).
If you put Wagner at SS, Lajoie at DH, and XXX at 2B, I'll delete Wagner.
If you put Lajoie at 2B, Wagner at DH, and XXX at SS, I'll delete Lajoie.
If you put Wagner at DH, XXX at SS and XXX at 2B, I'll know you're probably hiding Lajoie and put a stiff at 2B anyways, thus preventing you from putting Lajoie at 2B. Under this circumstance, you would not be able to move Wagner to SS and Lajoie to DH because you have to keep the guy you declared the DH initially at DH ... This will basically be the same if you do the same trick with Lajoie at DH and Wagner "hidden".
If you put XXX at SS and XXX at 2B and XXX at DH, then I'll just have to choose who I want out of your lineup more, Lajoie or Wagner.
I guess my advice is, if you really want to have one particular guy in your lineup, regardless of defensive abilities, put him at DH. After that, it's a crap shoot.
