Bernie's promise of some action in the 80's format means that I can start more teams. So, I'm in.

I was the commish the last time we did this format about a year ago. I enjoyed it a lot but that team was my 2nd worst record ever at 71-91. I like the mandatory 25 man roster thing also. We had that the last time around too. Keeps the budgets pretty tight.

Count my vote for a live draft if we're voting?

Live draft-need input from Yellow

Postby JOSEPHBONK » Tue Mar 21, 2006 6:58 am

There seems to be a groundswell for a live draft. Here's the current pulse of the people:

For live draft:

BJS73
Runnin Rebel
Seanreflex
Roofinghorse

YountFan, Yellow_Dog, TooBig and Rooks, I'd like to hear from you. I was thinking of an autodraft when this was set up but I'm willing to consider the option. Does a "live" draft create issues for anyone? I have not participated in a live draft before but am willing to give it a shot.

Thanks.

Live Draft vs Auto draft

Postby rookssa1958 » Tue Mar 21, 2006 7:28 am

The good thing about the live draft is it prolongs the experience. The bad thing about live drafts is it prolongs the experience.

Depending on how many players are "live" drafted, it will add a week or more to the fun, which is good, I think.

I tend to set plenty of proxies, and so at times, I am slightly surprised by my own picks, I'll have to pay more attention to the player ID's I am entering....

The good thing about auto drafts,,,, well,,,,, at times, AD's result in some crazy post waivers action as players decide to go a completely different direction with their squads.....

I like live drafts. Is the site still available?

I'm fine with a live draft. I've been super-busy with work, so I'm a little concerned about being able to keep up with a live draft, but that's what proxies are for, right?
