So, are we announcing our lineups here or not.

I am set to screw muttdoc and waiting onbeing screwed by Frank M -

Seems simple to me, you get some lousy player assigned to you and one presumably good player denied to you, other than that it is just who is carded to your franchises.

C-Cochrane
1B-Foxx
2B-Bishop
3B- Schmidt
SS-Bowa
LF-Simmons
CF-Ashburn
RF-Callison
DH-Klein (theonly one not screwable)

So to illustrate as far as I understand this, Frank will replace one of the above memebrs of my lineup with some hideous Philly player at his primary position and I will have to play that person according to the rules and the player removed is off-limits. Other than it is just your franchise, the cap limit etc.

And the sensible reason to have done this AFTER the draft was so people could be checked for compliance with the minimum 123 million salary . So let's just do this instead of talking about it to death.

I agree with errormagnate. I think we need to start getting the ball rolling here.

majicmg, I believe you have the honors of slashing my team.

NY Post War (NYY-post, NYY-exp, NYM-exp, NYG-post, BKN-post)
C - Johnny Blanchard
1B - Don Mattingly
2B - Jackie Robinson
3B - Graig Nettles
SS - Phil Rizzuto
LF - Monte Irvin
CF - Lenny Dykstra
RF - Tommy Henrich
DH - Mickey Mantle

I await Frank M's Rust Belt Pre War lineup so that I may "pay it forward".

Part of the strategy for the screw was based on choosing a lousy player, but also choosing a player to sub for the other team's star. So you might have to choose between a really awful Screw player, or perhaps a lesser awful player at a position occupied by the other team's best player. So it matters WHERE you place people in your lineup. If we do the subbing before the draft, it would be possible to not put a great player in the lineup initially, then after the substitution is made bring on the star, thus shielding him from being deleted. That was not my intention. That is why there was the minimum salary required for the initial draft. You had to put at least 123 million on your roster. It would be possible, I suppose, to still hide a great player and bring him on after the substitution is made, but at least you have exposed 123 million dollars of talent to the process.

Well, if we have to load the teams, then let's get to it.

Still waiting on division assignments.

It can still be done strategically. For example, with the NY franchise. You can sub for Dykstra, clearly not an irreplaceable player, but you also effectively box out Mays. The A's are hiding Eddie Collins, but they are leaving Mickey Cochrane and Jimmy Foxx exposed, and that ain't too shabby. Very well then. Declare your lineups and let the demolition begin! CW
