Im looking at the available players list right now and Im just wondering what the (*) next to the players actual name signifies? I know the * next to the S rating is obviously for 3 days rest, but theres also one next to some names.

Dan - An * signifies that they are left handed a + is for a switch hitter.

One more attempt

Postby Jerlins » Mon Mar 29, 2010 7:04 pm

I'm still willing to move the players mentioned in previous posts. I really do not wish to waste a high draft pick to fill a need and THEN get offered a player that would have filled it via trade. So while I am always open to discuss players, once the draft begins, I'm guessing I'll lock in my team and see how season 1 shakes out.

In the "its funny how things work out" dept, what was once an overabundance of 3rd basemen in 2010, turns into an overabundance of 2nd basemen in 2011 with both Figgins and Beckham moving over there. At least (barring injury) I won't have to platoon Longoria for a change.

Jerry, no problem, all part of the job.

Besides it allows me act all indignant when one of you picks a guy on someone's roster. :D

Look over the lists carefully, I'm sure some of you will be suprised at who is available. I've already had e-mails asking if there were misatkes on certian players. There may be but in other cases, remember last year we were only allowed to pick players that had cards on TSN's site. As such there are some vets that were not eligible last year and hence weren't drafted that are now available. Some of which aren't available in other keepers that have been around longer. It's gonna make for a VERY interesting draft beleive me.

I'm sitting at #2 overall, and might entertain offers to move down a little bit in round 1, just something to keep in mind as you all peruse those lists...

Uh, excel can do it for you, so it's rather pointless to send a different list.

Do this:

1. click on the upper left hand box of the sheet so you select the whole page(it will gray over a bit so you can tell it's selected)
2. Next hit the sort button, (it has an a-z type icon, I'd tell you exactly where it is, but I'm running Excell 2010 and it's different than older versions)
That button will give you the option of sorting alphabetically, from either a-z or z-a or by which ever coluim you want. Trust me it's one the best things you can learn how to use in excel.

If that doesn't help, hit the help button and type in sort, it will step you right through it.

If it completely befuddles you I'll send it alpha, tomorrow.
