I still think drafting a 123M team is not going to achieve much, as you can pretty easily draft enough in pitching and bench players to cover your costs and still hide a player or two.

I think the main point is, like errormagnate and I have pointed out, we need to stop dragging our feet, get something going and press on.

If not, we can just drop this whole franchise league and move on with our lives. It sounds like at least a few people are waiting for the end rather than enjoying ride, and it seems silly for people to waste money on something they're not even enjoying. I know that I will be combining both Novie and Frank M's sentiments and will not play in any more ATG IV or an ATG V franchise league.

You can't really "hide" Eddie Collins, because if he can't DH, his only other position will be 2B, so you might as well put him there, and either he gets axed or he doesn't.

Incidentally, Novie. I would like to introduce you to Tim Johnson, your new shortstop. Let me point out how lightly you got off in the deal. He is, after all, an A bunter. And we all know how important bunting is in ATG. And Robin Yount always underperforms for me, anyway. I am sure Greg Maddux will have no trouble coping with having a sessile shortstop behind him. :D

It's getting pretty aggravating when it's like the fifth time that someone thinks we're in ATG V.

I'm trying not to have a stroke, but this league does seem to be driving me up the wall, with delays, absent managers, either too complex rules or too simple rules, and dejected GMs putting together teams they expect to lose.

Seriously, why are we doing this league? Is everyone really looking forward to this event and two more, or are we just feeling obligated and guilt-ridden to contribute 3 more credits??

I am looking forward to following the exploits of the screw players. Inevitably, they will contribute something, which will be amusing. I am also looking forward to unveiling the name for my next team...Grab My Bag. Other than that...I agree. The rules have been excruciating at times, and I probably got as much benefit as anyone with my 100 plus win all righty lineup. If we do this in ATG 5, I would hope we could tame the rule changes a bit. I think we should give the Senators some Negros, too. CW
