A pitching park team with even less spent on pitching. I like it, except I'd hate to have Tejeda playing SS when Bartlet goes down for 15 games. Sandoval at C and VMart at 1B, makes Jones platooning in RF, find for the bat, but playing with the 4 in the OF is risky as well.

I'd like a bigger righty bat in your lineup FM.

[quote:33116b24ae="geekor"][quote:33116b24ae="Schnoogens"]Alright, as I promised Geekor, here's my own Petco team. Flame/praise away: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=261429

I'll be platooning McCann and Miller at C, and Borbon and Evans at DH.[/quote:33116b24ae]

I actually don't like your SP much though, as they are very one sided. Would be nice in that case to carry 6 SP so you can play matchups more and get the best mileage out of them.[/quote:33116b24ae]

Yeah, that was sort of intentional. My theory goes:
1. Hanson (3R) is pretty solid all around
2. Garcia R (7L) and Wells R (7R) will almost always start consecutively in the same series, so a team can't adjust their lineup accordingly - they'll get killed either way (and so will I).
3. Palmer (4R)...well, if I go cheap, I prefer to go strong vs RH
4. Duensing L (4L)...reminds me of Kazmir's card from last year, minus the strikeouts. Very little power against him.

The vast majority of Young's TB's are singles. He has only 10.5 XB hit's vs RHP.

so nearing the half way point in the first teams seasons let's see how we are all doing:

Geekor: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=261501

Schoong: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=261429

Jerry: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=261605

akindian: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=261424

So the thing I notice, is all 4 teams pitching has been rather solid. But the 2 teams that are doing well have their offense as OK as well, the 2 that are doing not so well (but still .500 or better) have their offenses kinda poor overall.

For my team, I missed Kendry being dropped, but that person dropped Jones, who I replaced Salazar with as he was stinking it up. Move paid off for me and my team has been doing well since.

Anything anyone else wants to share?

My hitting problems exist by the fact anyone available in this league that might help my woes is either a 1st baseman or a dh, and it's a non DH league. It also needs to be noted that each team is playing in a pitchers park. I don't know. If I can get Fielder to hit slightly better than a .183/.282 clip, I might be fine. 15 of my losses have been by 1 run, so a little bit of help (and luck) from Fielder may turn this around.

Yea I notice that as well. At least your Scutaro is hitting ok, I'm still waiting for mine to get a decent OBP worthy of hitting #1 right now :(
