THE CD ROM

THE CD ROM

Postby toronto50 » Sat Apr 03, 2010 8:31 pm

I think i would like to order the CDROM but it seems that there is all kinds of levels and add-ons etc?

What do I wan to order and where should I order from. I think I want to view the cards for each player involved as if I playing a FTF-style game.

Any suggestions. Is it worth it?

i bought the cdrom game and cant be happier with it. ive amassed quite a few seasons and a hof roster. there is so much you can do with it. im still findin new features. i dont get the card option. however, im startin to think i should. it was well worth the money i paid for it. you can auto play seasons or play as a single team for the whole season. you can draft, intermingle seasons. it even has an encyclopedia feature that keeps all the players stats. you can get it at the stratomatic home site. im sure theres a link on sn somewhere

Love the CDROM game, check out Strat-Fan-Forum, tons of information there http://www.stratfanforum.com/forums/ , not only about the CDROM game but cards and dice play as well. Terrific resource.

If you order, definitely purchase the "CARD IMAGE" version, that will allow you to see the cards while you play. After that the only add ons besides individual seasons are the Color Ballparks and OldTimer Color Ballparks. It's a little silly that they would charge for the color ballparks, but it's an old-school company. Is it worth it? For me it is, and it's a one time purchase that works with all newer versions of the game.

I play a lot of old timer seasons so I also get value out of the Old Timer Color Ballpark purchase as well.

Now the problem becomes what additional seasons to buy ;-)

Send me a PM if you want more info,

Rob
