Sanchez was the defending NL batting champion at the time. And the crowd cheered loudly when The Splinter made said tremendous one-handed grab.

In fact, it was not until I attended Opening Day on Monday and listened to the crowd cheer after Jason Heyward smashed one out in his first Major League at-bat have I heard a greater outcry from the fans at Turner Field. :D :P 8-)

Why don't you crow about your trips to Taiwan and the purpose of those trips.

Jeep, Splinter can not take Jeter. The Yankees are blocked b/c I took Teixeira.

3rd '09 team

Postby chasenally » Wed Apr 07, 2010 11:08 am

And I have Gonzalez on all 3. Everytime my pick comes up he is the best available. Would have liked someone else but this gives me better options for later. On the baseball stories, I was at Angels Stadium when Reggie Jackson tried his first Sac Bunt. I couldn't believe it I had to ask the lady next to me if he really did it. I was in San Diego when Ozzie Smith commited his first I think 4 error game. He had 2 on one play. S.D. stunk up the joint that year and the team was buying back season tickets. I wanted to be on the 3rd base side for my shot at the famed one-handed catch but they upgraded me to behind home plate so it looked like more fans were there. Living in Oregon I see few Baseball games. Mike

That was my next choice if Gonzalez didn't make it to me. Mike
