True, but I'm guessing Boston doesn't have one of the top 12 pitchers that would have come off the board and there are other teams that were available that do. :wink:

And given position scarcity Pedroia might have been a smarter pick. Much easier to find a servicable 1b than a 2b. I wasn't to bright in any case.

FYI - I'm going to be out of touch for 3 or so hours beginning at 10am. Taking the wife to a pre-op, she just found out she needs to have her gallbladder removed.

To Jehale - turns out there was a mis-communication, the pre-op is today, not the actual surgery.

Hey Jeep, it's a simple operation these days. In about a week or so, your wife is going to feel better than she has in a long time. We wish her the best.
