Guys, I won't be around this morning at all. I'll be back later in the afternoon, (Around 2ish) so leave proxies with someone else too.

Mike your's should be okay with me as we haven't made that much progress in that this amount of time most days, sadly.

[quote:bf34dbeb89="Jerlins"]As a Twins fan, I'm giving you 3 weeks before you start asking what it will take to get D. Young off my team. Looks like he's continuing where he left off at the end of last year. :D[/quote:bf34dbeb89]

Sure does...although sometimes you don't want to put all your eggs in one basket. I have never seen a Twins team like this that has a viable hitter 1-9 (except for when Little Nicky Punto is playing). If Liriano is impressive tonight, LOOK OUT! :D

By the way, it's my bachelor party weekend (so I'd avoid downtown Minneapolis!) so I may be spotty on checking in starting this evening, and it also may be a good time to offer me some crazy trades!

I've had my eyes on Carmona for the last couple of rounds...that's a nice pickup, I would have snagged him this round. He's shown he can do it before, and if he returns to form he can be dominant. He's very similar to Liriano in that the upside is huge, they've both shown it before...but their heads may not be on straight.

I was happy to get him. He has a high GB% and gets strikeouts, he just needs to stop walking so many guys. He has the skill set to be a good pitcher.

That was a nice pickup on Delgado, I was going to take him last round but I made that trade for Konerko and LaRoche.

And Done

Postby Jerlins » Fri Apr 09, 2010 8:04 pm

Still wanted that one more player I thought I should have picked 4 spots ago. He's still out there too!!! But alas, there was always something more enticing when my pick came up.

Now, if anyone is interested in moving some prospect picks my way, feel free to inquire :)

And One Unrelated Gripe

Postby Jerlins » Fri Apr 09, 2010 8:19 pm

I sure wasn't happy when the Yankees picked up Vazquez over the winter, and now I am a bit more PO'd. It didn't work the first time around, and I doubt it's going to work this time either. Some guys just can't handle the pressure of being a Yankee, and this guy seems to fit that description. Being the eternal optimist, I'll continue to hope I am wrong, but his first outing was a total disaster. :x

And Finally

Postby Jerlins » Sat Apr 10, 2010 11:20 pm

Maholm was finally taken. I let some gambles get in the way of what should have been a no brainer for me with Jimmymullins and his 100% left-handed hitting lineup staring me in the face for 24 games. Oh well, can't let intelligent strategy get in the way of stupidity. He was on my "I'll pick him next round" list for 5 rounds, until finally, there were no more rounds. :? :?
