OK, time for another installment of Larry's SS reviews! This month it's Giants slugging SS Chris Speier. He appears to be an attractive choice for those wanting to combine leather [i:900935bf52]and[/i:900935bf52] wood.

He's rated as a 2e25, has a respectable median OPS of .687 and costs $2.78 mil. How has Speier done for [i:900935bf52]your[/i:900935bf52] teams? Me, I've never tried him, preferring extreme "leather" at SS; usually Metzger, who can't hit his way out of the hotel lobby! Weigh in, ya'll!

Depends on the stadium. I would use Speier in more HR friendly confines. Otherwise I shoot for cheaper '2's' like Harrelson and Kessinger and Templeton.
