New league forming-Usage limit, unique stadiums and more

Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

Love to try ....but ....

I'd love to join you, but feel overwhelmed by the talent involved and my eventual movement to the lower tier of your league. Convince me that I shouldn't be scared off ...

Gmac, you should definitely not be scared off. The usage limits make it really fun to run your team, manage every day, make substitutions, fun, fun, fun. This is what it's all about.

Especially since Yountfan is in the league, he will post messages showing who is closing in on overuse, so you won't even have to do much tracking.

An 80's strat team - 12.45 (if you got the server catastrophe discount)
A live draft with 80's vets - 12.45
Dinner for the wife to make up for time spent on live draft - 75.00
Not having Dennis Eckersley pitch 170 innings, mostly against you - priceless.

OK I'm In

I'm in. I am also from FLA, so is that a problem with slotting for the draft?

Be easy on me and walk me thru this!

Gmac, welcome aboard...

Rooks, thanks for your inspiring message regarding why a usage limit league is SO the way to go.

Gmac, usage limits, combined with full 25 man rosters will force all of us to use our funds wisely and to test our baseball saavy based on matchups. There are tradeoffs to be made-when do you bench your best players and can you afford to park someone on the DL. You made a great decision.

We do need you to pick a state with a pick 3 lottery. Florida is already taken by the fabled RunninRebel so that one won't work for thoust. Can you select a different state?

Thanks.

Gmac94 That's just for choosing the Pick 3 lottery for placement and draft order. You can pick another if you wish unless you feel strongly about FLA then I"LL change.

Thanks For Joining,

RR

GREAT JOB JJB

Now that we are full, I'll monitor tonight's lottery for division placement and draft order

[quote:a4dc7d45fa]Stadiums: When you sign up, please select a pick three lottery-we will use the evening drawing for states that have both a mid-day and evening/night drawing. Once 12 managers are in place, we will use the next nights drawing and rank managers high three digit number to low. 999 to 000 (In case of a tie, we will use the previous day’s pick three lottery from the individuals who tied. The higher number from the previous day will break the tie by adding .10 to the initial lottery number.)

The East division will consist of slots 1,4,7 and 10
The Central division will consist of slots 2 5 8 and 11
The West division will consist of slots 3 6 9 and 12

Stadium draft:

Owners in the east will be able to select stadiums associated with MLB eastern division (both leagues) teams.

Owners in the central will be able to select stadiums associated with MLB central division (both leagues) teams.

Owners in the west will be able to select stadiums associated with MLB west division (both leagues) teams.

East: New York M, Montreal, Philadelphia, Atlanta, New York Y, Boston, Toronto, Baltimore

Central: Chicago C, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Houston, Chicago W, Cleveland, Detroit, Minnesota, Kansas City

West: LA D, San Francisco, San Diego, Oakland, Seattle, Texas, California

Order of draft for stadiums: East: 10, 7, 4, 1.
Central: 11, 8, 5,2
West: 12, 9, 6, 3

Therefore, before we draft players (auto draft), we will know our stadium and the other stadiums in the division/league.

If owners wish, they may trade stadium draft slots prior to the stadium draft.[/quote:a4dc7d45fa]
