[quote:1228fa8924="bigdinkent"]At this point I'm not sure if the expectations are to get the league set-up by Friday or not. I will be going out of town tonight and will not be available until Sunday night. I will leave a proxy pick if it's still not my turn.[/quote:1228fa8924]I think the goal should be next Friday (4/23).

LM, please read this post as sympathy and not my 'rubbing your nose in it'.

I wanted to ask how it felt to be leading 1-0 going into the bottom of the 9th of Game 5, only to have my slugger, Alan Wiggins, who had been inserted at SS, knock a Bill Campbell pitch out of park to tie it up (and later to have Mike Heath drive in Whitaker from 2nd for the win).

By the way, if I'm correct, the Wiggins homer reveals that I have his 87 card where his OPS was .564 and he hit 1 HR in 85 AB's. The Homer on this card is on the vs. RHP side (for which he's a W), in column 1, 11 split 1-1 and 12. In other words, the dice either roled 1, 6, 6 or 1, 6, 5, and a 'split card' of 1.

Sorry, LM.

That is what makes playing the board game fun---the '1' split card. It does happen in real life. Can you say Bucky Dent?

BC, I've got no problem with it. If I was playing H2H I would have not played it any other way. Campbell was dominant all season racking up 47 saves with a 1.07 WHIP. I would much rather lose with him on the mound than some stiff that HAL had inserted for no apparent reason. I had a good team this year but yours was just a little bit better.

Good Luck in the finals.

LM, I wasn't suggesting you should've played it differently.

If we were playing H2H, I would've pinch hit for Wiggins and you'd probably be headed for the final! Thanks HAL!

BTW, I've been told by Bill Campbell's agent that he is so demoralized by giving up the season ending HR to Mike Heath that he has decided to announce his retirement from the game.

That HR may hurt if HOF chances. Is he now the Ralph Branca of the DD league?
