Dirty Dozen Round 2 - Dirtier Dozen - DRAFTING

Our historical single season sets

I happened to notice that RJs protected list included Lou Brock, but it looks like he was left unprotected on the spreadsheet.

I had checked to make sure he hadn't kept Javier.

Did RJ make a late adjustment, or was that just an accidental error?

I didn't check the individual tabs. I imagine it was just an error on the master list. I will assume that RJ wanted to keep Brock. I'll repick in a minute.

That is correct, RJ did protect Brock - I just failed to highlight him. Onward!

[quote:b06a9a1983="Sneezedoc"]Question---
I forgot...can I draft my team to 80 million with 24 players (which is what I will open the season with) or do I have to make the draft card 80 million with 25 players?[/quote:b06a9a1983]

I would assume the latter. You need 25 players with a cap under $80 mill in order to complete a draft card, so that seems to make sense to me.

Risden is correct - that is the way we have interpreted this in the past, though I would love to go the other way, as I have a "Fairly" certain cut taking up $3M plus of my cap room

On my original draft list I included Don Wert as one of my protected 12 players, can I replace him now with Cesar Gutierrez? Or do I have to wait?

Thanks

I think we should wait on things like that since the draft has started. You can adjust your 12 or more players during or after the AD runs. We are not required to keep those exact 12 players.

LMB is right, since those 12 established our draft order, they have to carry through to the AD. I plan to drop Fairly during free agency, as I have a logjam at 1B and RF with FRobby, and would LOVE to do it now, but that was my miscalculation and my needing to stay under the cap despite him is my payment.

AFTER the autodraft and any time during the season, the only roster requirement is $80M cap and 12 players from your franchise (these 12 can change) at all times.
