Yup, I was most surprised by the run on pitching. That Votto pick was interesting, too. Mini run on 2B after the SS run.

No clue, Delbird. I wish I had more answers on the functionality of this site, but it's my first time using this draft application, and I know Adrian is still working to perfect a lot of things. I guess it's a learning experience for everyone. I'm glad we have something like this available to us, since it does move faster than drafting on the boards, and not as fast or confusing as a real live draft.

I kind of like the times being CT since that's where I am (Birmingham, AL), but I do think ET should be the standard.

We also had our first 'unleashed' player go on the last pick (#33) - Alex Avila. He's doing pretty well in another league I'm in after 72 games (he's been in 59) -

Name B P Def. AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS E BA OBP SLG
Avila, Alex L C 4(+1)e5 178 32 50 13 0 12 27 36 53 0 1 3 .281 .398 .556

once the 3 hr time limit expires the next up can pick, the person who was skipped can pick at any time to fill that skipped spot,at least that is what happened in 1 draft i just finished with on diamond dope

If it seems like we get stuck somewhere, I'm going to try and send out an e-mail reminder to folks somewhere between 1:30 and 2:00 on the 3:00 time limit if it's your turn and you haven't yet made a pick. I'll use the e-mail address listed on Diamond Dope. Good?

That's good info, mfl. That's how it worked on SOMDraft, but I didn't know if it was the same here.

No idea if it's a good strategy or not in this theme, but I feel like I got something useful out of my Nationals and Pirates picks, doing them this early. I figure McCutchen is a mini-Kemp, similar in less at bats, so more injury risk, good defense (not as good as Kemp), and balances a little less toward LHP (2L vs 5L). Zimmerman gives me 3/4 of a decent infield. For anyone that did this theme last year, I presume you have a more experienced strategy in place - it should be interesting as we get deeper into the draft.

My strategy for this league is to somehow figure out a way to finally beat AeroDave in one of these themes

My thoughts on Votto v. A Gonzalez was along those lines. Get one of the worth-while Reds. I also really wanted to take a run at that Mike Adams card. Only an R1, but even fatigued its a great card.

Adams should do really well. In the $100M pre-card draft theme league, he's pitched in 50 of 114 games so far, and has a 1.78 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in 76 innings. Of course, there are some other quality relievers on that staff, so that helps him stay fresh, but we should all be able to nab at least one or two decent bullpen arms.
