IMPORTANT! FAST 6 LEAGUE....PLEASE READ!

Hey guys....I just got a call from Dugger. It's his kidneys again and he's on his way to the hospital. I have no other details other than he said he just couldn't make it (understandably!) We need to decide whether to cancel tonights draft or try and find a replacement. I have no problems putting it off but that raises two issues. We don't know how long he could be in the hospital for. Last time was only a couple of days but before that it was 3 weeks. The other is, as far as I know they'res no way to get ahold of The Rivs who is no doubt going to bust trying to get back for this draft. Any way we go is ok with me but I need to hear from you folks as well before I make a decision. I'll keep in touch with Dugger and keep everyone posted on his condition as I find out more. -David

I have posted for a replacement on the main boards [i:70fd54c607]if[/i:70fd54c607] we decide to go tonight. We could hold out until 8:30 to start the draft if we need to.

My life is going to work out just fine whether we draft tonight or postpone.

Please send Dugger best wishes for a speedy recovery from all of us.

I'll be checking back to see if I need to draft or not.

At this point were on hold. I'll re-post a new start time on the main boards until 8:30. If we don't have a replacement by then, we'll just have to postpone. I will send Dugger everyone's best wishes when I talk to him again. I know he'll appreciate it!

[b:c46f763b39]David: You might want to insert a Message into the other older Chat Room ... and the Draft FRONT PAGE (if you can) ... bet that's where the rest of 'em are wondering why you haven't dropped the hammer on FB!![/b:c46f763b39]

I'm with Frank and Mort ... but lean a little to postponing in deference to Dugger ... but I'll hang in and see if the Group wants to go ahead anyway ...

I'm good either way, but like Maudib, I lean towards waiting.

I think we should call it a night guys. I would prefer to hold off anyway. Dugger has been with us since league I and I'm not all that anxious to replace him. Nobody's fault here...just real life stepping in. I'll keep in touch with Dugger as best I can and let everyone know how he's doing. I'm sure he appreciates the warm sentiments. Lets just all hope for the best and a speedy recovery!

I advocate patience and postponing in deference to Dugger because this League and this game might be one of the things in his life that keeps him going.

On the other side of the spectrum, though, I do not want Dugger to feel pressured that he HAS to be here or there ... that the energy he puts into this Game is actually something he needs to cut back on.

And the third end of the spectrum is that neither is profoundly true for him and this or that League is good entertainment for him ...

So ... HEY TOP ... WHAT'S THE OP!! SIMON SEZ?? [Aarrp ... he beat me to it ... Simon sez just above!]
