[b:614b9c46fb]Integrity and playing by the rules are an absolute must, no exceptions![/b:614b9c46fb]

Everyone is welcome!

[b:614b9c46fb]RULE AMENDMENT - TEAMS WILL BE SELECTED BY TEAM DRAFT AFTER RANDOM LOTTERY. [/b:614b9c46fb]

Must only play actual real team's stadiums only - no duplicates or substitutions.

Must maintain a minimum 19 players carded to your original team effective games 1-162 at all times without exception. You may go lower than 19 during the pre-season only.

Divisions are based on a combination of actual 2009 team wins and total team roster payroll.

Partial two round draft for low payroll teams. Round one of the draft is teams 1-17 only. Round two of the draft is teams 1-21 only. Since teams 22-24 (Rockies, Dodgers & Yanks) exceed the $80M cap, they are ineligible for the two round draft and in fact have lost players to the luxury tax. The Braves, Cards, Phils & Red Sox are only eligible for the second round of the draft.

Exclusive rights to all players on your carded team's roster until waivers are complete. After waivers have been completed, then any carded player that is not on your roster is now considered a free agent and can be added to any team.

[b:614b9c46fb]AMENDMENT - Unlimited trades are allowed between any teams involving any players (including carded players) as long as each team must maintain their minimum of 19 carded players to your original team at all times without exception.[/b:614b9c46fb]

Divisions with payroll, draft order and designated additional players to supplement low payroll team.

Gotta re-read the rules but im in. So this is not a live draft? After our lottery order is determined do we select the team or is the one we are slotted into by the lottery number?

I guess I'm open to either way. Either it can be the lottery number is the team you get or if the majority want, it can be your team draft order. We can go with the majority rule in that regard.

I'm a huge Twins fans and also dispise the Yankees, so I would be in favor of running the random lottery to determine a team draft order and select my own team.

the twins are not a bad choice..pretty good lineup of solid position players, good closer, okay starters for stadium. just wish they had a lefty favouring ballpark.

Hey, I also like the Twins. I also hate the Yanks. However, I would take any team that fell my way considering the league rules helping the less fortunate.

However, a random lottery pick would be OK. It's still the luck of the draw, but at least most of the guys would have some autonomy on what they would like to do. The picks may surprise people.

I am going to sign myself up no matter what your answers are - I always used to enjoy "playing out a season" with real strat cards, on the kitchen table, so how can I refuse in online strat?

Here are some questions for you-
1-you say "unlimited trades for noncarded players only". Why not allow trades (within the $80 mil cap) for ANY players? I love making trades, and that would be part of the fun for me, esp. if I ended up with a team that didn't do well in real life. I always love a challenge and I always root for the underdog, but it would be nice to be able to make trades to try to improve the team! (BTW, there really aren't very many uncarded players, are there?)
2-I would like to draft to pick teams. Like I said, I root for the underdog and I love a challenge, but I would be more likely even to PICK an underdog if we had unlimited trades for all players, within the salary cap.
3-Just as support for what you are doing, I like the way you have the luxury tax and the draft - sounds very good!

If I had other questions, I forgot them already! I'm in!
