Hey Spider!

Let's all email everyone we know to get this league going.

Further to my earlier comments about liking underdogs -

I realize that we are doing a draft to pick teams, but I suspect that what I am about to say is not likely going to upset anyone's plans (?!). If they are available (LOL?!), I am going to pick the Washington Nationals. I like the skewed ballpark, and I like some of the players on their team. AND, if I get the Nationals, I get the first draft pick overall!

If someone else really wants them, that's fine. I have lots of other possiblities. But I just wanted to share my excited state of mind at my new project "adoption"! Cheers! Geoff

MBRAKE there is a 2009 60 mil/24team league made for champions that has been on the board for a month. they have been as high as 11 teams but are now back to 7 teams.

Is there a way to send a message to all those teams to join our league? Im not great with messaging and e-mail etc (me caveman).

If we get them to merge with us like the AFL-NFL we might get to our superbowl.

Yes - we can send "private messages" to the people in that league, using the functionality that is on this bulletin board website.

I can do this later today - this evening sometime.

I am assuming that you would propose that they join our league, mbrake.

I will be the messenger (to them) if you want. Please confirm.

I have not yet had a chance to do it yet, but I am also going to send private messages to other friends on the website. It may take a week or 2, and it may yield just a couple more entries, but I will send it out. Also, and potentially more effectively, I will send out emails to 2 other leagues I am in. (I will do the same for Marcus' new league). Geoff

BTW, re my yearning to manage the Nationals - I realize it isn't as purely for the "love of the game" as I thought!

I notice now, mbrake, that you kindly put all of the underdogs in one division!! LOL! So, by picking the Nationals, I MIGHT be picking the favorite for the underdog division, since they have the first overall "expansion draft" pick!

So, if anyone else wants the Nationals and picks teams ahead of me, feel free to knock yourself out and pick the Nationals! I will still be picking an underdog team, but I will certainly be able to live with a different underdog team, if someone else wants to take the Nationals!!!

I will concede the Nationals to Mr Brookes. Hopefully we can attract users wh haven't used the unleashed set. The balancing of the teams amd the two round draft that permits you to get exactly what u want should attract new users. I would love to turn the blue jays into a contender and beat the yankees in the playoffs!! Finally Halladay wins in Toronto

I'm in, too, as long as you stick with the 24-team structure. thisisray and I are in a 24-team keeper league, which has a whole different feel from the standard all-star leagues you see in 12-team Strat. Love your concept for parity!
