26-inning game AKA what does f(0) REALLY mean?

The longest MLB game ever was 26 innings (a tie). This one almost made it, falling one out short (which would've put it into the 27th) -- HAL clocked it at 8 hours and 28 minutes ... hope it was a day game ....

My team (Pages) was a wild experiment that failed (22-14 to begin the season, then started losing every time, so I pulled the plug and made changes). Terrible hitting. The other team also has terrible hitting. Petco.

This is maybe the 5th 15-plus inning game my reliever-oriented team has had ("St. Joseph Pages" is a joke about the bullpen, as is the manager's name, Marpo Firberry, which also is a joke on "double switch").

[edit: changed title to bring up broader point]

There was almost a no hitter embedded in the middle of the game!

Amazing game. The 4-5-6 hitters on the "fourteens" were a combined 1-32!

Worst performance was probably Adam Jones who was 0-8 with 5 strikeouts. Ludwick was 0-11 and Daemon was 0-10, so that's probably worse, I guess. Close call :) Prince struck out 5 times too, but had his one hit right at the end where it counted.

After the 19th inning every pitcher was at F0, yet nobody scored till the 26th? I would have thought that was almost impossible.

what does F0 REALLY mean?

As pointed out by apolivka above, this game featured a huge number of PAs against pitchers with F0 fatigue ratings. Arroyo's entire 7+ innings (29 PAs) were at F0, and he let up only 6 hits (all singles) and a walk. Ni was at F0 for 3 batters (all outs), Danks for 4 (2 walks), and Jimenez for 14 (1 hit 1 walk). That's 50 PAs with 7 hits (all singles) and 4 walks -- a .152 / .220 / .152 line. Granted, they were all helped out by Petco ballpark ratings and by fielder (x) rolls (and bad hitters). But still ...

Small detail: Victor Martinez got a 2-game injury in the last inning of the previous game, so I was stuck with Raul Chavez the whole game; maybe VMart could've done better than 1 for 10!

I don't understand what's going on w the F0 at all. I've had HAL leave in guys to get totally annihilated while I've had fresh arms on the bench, as games have gone from 4-3 thrillers to 15-3 blowouts (like my game last night).

Something's changed. This didn't happen before. It's not a good change and I don't like it.
