[quote:a07492eab9="socalchiro"]Not to get into a huge political discussion here as this is not the time nor the place...
Me and my big pie hole just cannot let chasenally's comment go without a response.
Left wing generally refers to more "liberal" or "progressive" views, as in wanting to change things in ways that have not been tried before. My rhetorical question would be, are things really that good here in the US that a little change would hurt?
Some guy Einstein once said...(paraphrasing) The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. Right wing usually refers to more "conservative" or "regressive" views, as in wanting things to stay the same or return to how they used to be. While I wish ALOT of things could return to the way they use to be, it's not going to happen. And when you just "stay the same", you never evolve as a person or a country.
There I said my peace.
Now let's PLAY BALL!!!

Viz, I think it goes without saying that this is a fun SOM league first and a friendly political league second. You gave a very good politically correct response. I am "anti-Far Left" and "anti-Far Right".
We can't go back in time and recapture how it used to be, but we can't go break-neck speed changing everything without consequences and risk getting away from the things that built the greatest nation in the world's history (sorry Geoff). That makes no sense.
However, in the end I fall on the Republican side because I do believe that the government is hooked on our tax dollars like "crack". I would rather have the liberty to spend my money the way I want to rather than have the money get siphoned through an inefficient organization. A small % of my tax money actually gets to the entities of my choice (military, police, court system, country infrastructure).
Obviously, there's a million other reasons why I fall to the right from a fiscal standpoint. Bush and Obama are/were spending like teenage girls who just got their rich daddy's credit card. Irresponsibility doomed Greece. We're doing too many of the same things. YIKES!
There you go. That is my piece.
