Longest winning/losing streak

Longest winning/losing streak

Postby Irahays » Fri May 07, 2010 8:51 am

I was browsing the record books section and didnt' see anything about the longest winning or losing streaks.

I'd be curious to know, in a dice based game, what are some of the longest streaks you have had.

In the 2008 card set, I had a keeper league team, the Great Balls of Fire, with a 20-game win streak, with BA .319 and ERA 3.13 during that period.

I started the season 0-14 and at the end of the first 21 games I was 2-19. I had another run during the season of 0-12 and 0-11. It was a very long season :( . SGT D

I believe Riggo lost 20 on a Tourney(some kind of Tourney, anyway) team and still made the playoffs. I believe I was in the league with him. It was a while ago.

I've posted this one before, but just to show there has been a theme league for just about _everything_, we had a league where everyone tried to lose. Except one team picked every star player just to see what would happen.

Shazam....100 game winning streak:

Might have gone further, but that was game 162. Obviously, this one doesn't count. :)

Who had the most losses? And do you have a link to the game he lost?

I think I lost 19 at one time. I was around 30 games above .500 and went down hill fast. 2 straight teams started out very well and hit the skids in the third 54. It went from heartbreak to comical it was so bad.

Oh and apolivka is the king of pitching setting and durantjerry is the offensive/defensive guru. When E.F. Huttonapolivkadurantjerry talk chasenally listens. Thank you guys for putting me in the top end of almost every league I play in. I used to be bird cage liner.

Here Detroit:

Amazingly, that all star team actually lost three games. Here's the team link so you can dig out the losses:

Here's the real "winner" of the league. Check out the incredible seasons for Ron Davis and David Cone. They were 51-111, which doesn't sound so bad, but remember we were ALL trying to lose.

Here was my team. Worst offense by far. Team BA of .206. Total of 22 homers on the year. Team RBI leader was Dave Stapleton, and you gotta check out his card.

It was close, but I guess it goes to show bad pitching will lose to bad hitting any day. :)

If you have links to the game Nicole lost that would be cool- just curious.

365 Team BA
433 OBP
Team OPS over 1000
1463 Runs Scored!! 190 by Pucket with 90 steals

0.89 team ERA, 4 starters with > 38 wins.

Gooden and Valenzuela didn't even get to pitch lol.

Who was the manager? I assume he/she won the WS?
