Players I've never used, or rarely used

PJ I used Selkirk once or twice in ATG. It seems he mostly draws a bunch of walks. He did hit the ball a few times but he usually got hurt when he did.

My impression is that you use Eddie Collins, Felipe Alou, Ellis Valentine, Luis Aparicio, Ted Simmons more than most. Incidentally, welcome back Michael. I hope all went well with your surgery.

Nev,

Your list says to me that you infrequently play in Yankee 56 or Dunn?

I have used Mule Haas, Ben Oglivie, Larry Doby, Selkirk there.
Doby's D and LH power is good to hit 5th, Selkirk isn't bad for a 2 or 3 hitter, recent season he had .400 obp, 28 HR, 100 runs, 90 rbi. And Oglivie can fluctuate between .220 and .250 for season totals, but usually gets me 40+ HR, 100 RBI in Y56.
Though I would not put Doby and Oglivie on the same team, since they would basically occupy the same spot in the order.
I tried Haas once for about a half-season. He was on pace for 100 rbi and 30 hr.... while hitting close to .300.

otherwise, I have used Reggie Smith (good and god awful), Rosen (OK), Furillo (would use him again), and Ripper (good and mediocre).

I have been heavily tempted to try Donie for his 1 and obp, but his errors scare the daylights outta me.

Heck how can I have used Canseco and not anyone else? He seemed like a bomber bargain to me, I used him on a Fenway '67 team did well I'll get the post..... On your list Doby and Bush are the 2 I've used most. Bush is inconsistent and I could see why not using, and there are many good CF's to take before him but no reason to avoid Doby in any park.

I had never used Ted 'till I started a team with him in mind and even then almost didn't start him.

I have had good luck with Pesky, and B Robinson has outperformed his card 4 out of 5 times and Nev did not list Joe G as his backup lh hitting catcher - or do you just use him to annoy me!?

Welcome back, Michael. Long time, no speak. Hope everything is going well.

Many of the guys you mentioned either have comparable players in the new set, or at a position where there are more offensive choices where you don't need to sacrifice defense (Bush, Money, Avila). ONeill - I used once, but have left his 8 speed .237 sorry average on the FA wire since.

I'm working on compiling all my teams' stats. This is from the first wave of data. I'll have splits soon as well. Selkirk hit second in most of these teams. In my opinion, he can hit anywhere in the lineup.
