The 80M 2-ROUND LIVE DRAFT durantjerry is up

Postby toshiro » Tue May 11, 2010 10:11 am

I downloaded the excel spreadsheet and am whacking the players already taken to make it easier to see who's left.

Is there a way to upload it to the site somehow for sharing?

@ toshiro, not that I know. But the best way I guess would be for someone in need of the Excel sheet to send his email, and we'll share.

Terry was notified by league-mail that he's due up.

Looks like Geoff wants his share of 2-1 games for the upcoming season.

Don't worry Geoff, Emmanuel Burriss should be available when you pick next time.

LOL! :) Marcus - 2-1??? That would mean that we gave up a run! Lincecum will be checking with his pitching coach after that game!

I really, really like teams with great pitching - I can't possibly get a better crack at it than this! My second team in online strat was something like this (2007), but with a 5 man rotation. I haven't really come back to a rotation like this since that team (went to the finals but lost in 5).

But I also felt that if I was picking last for the remaining players, I really needed to have a strong nucleus with those first 12 picks, and I felt that the simplest and most direct way to do that was with the SPs (*), since you only need 4 of them. My OF is my dream team for arms (a reprise on my recent Red Sox team, but Suzuki replaces Francouer). By picking Cordero as closer and Upton as CF I still have a few bucks left. Howard is my new thing - he is, I think, a huge bargain at his salary level. As much as McGehee performed well for the Red Sox team, Howard's card is obviously MUCH better, and just for a few shekels more! I have Howard now in 2 new teams, and this is a new experience for me - haven't ever had him yet in any year. Suzuki (C) is a concession to Lincecum's +3 hold, again while trying to keep a few dollars in the piggy bank.

I am excited. I hope I didn't dash too many people's hopes. If it is any consolation, at least I didn't just do the mechanical 1-2-3-4 off the top of the SP* list (at least I don't think I did??).

Good luck to everyone. Everything I do lately seems to be lucky, so hopefully I can pass some good luck on. (I still don't buy lottery tickets. Maybe I should buy one!).
