OK, Everything seems to be settled. Mofo can go on with his picks.

Toshiro next, followed by durantjerry, terry, wockenfuss, and Geoff.

BTW,

the divisions:

EAST
Groundhog
zim13
Mofo
Terry

CENTRAL
wockenfuss
toshiro
marcus wilby
Aray

WEST
Exwallman,
dharmabums
durantjerry
Geoff

So anyone in the EAST can start up the league (Well, Terry not yet).

Contrary to last year, I did not put any sub/cheap players on my first 12-list. In part because I don`t feel there is a sub so unique to be worth it.

But then again, I didn't expect Groundhog to put his hands on FOUR hard-throwing left-handed relievers!!! :x

Two Quick Questions

Postby The Godfather » Thu May 13, 2010 7:32 pm

1. I thought I saw Craig Monroe drafted earlier but he's not on the last list. I'm probably wrong but I wanted to double-check.

2. I know the cap is $80m, can we be slightly over that as long as we drop the necessary players [u:9addcdeea5]immediately[/u:9addcdeea5] after the auto-draft (and prior to Opening Day)? Also assuming that minimum roster requirements are met.

I didn't know if it would kick the players off my draft card to fit others in, or if it would give me the players and make me drop someone after the auto-draft to get below the cap before the season.

I think you're probably right about the autodraft -- that you need to have your team under the $80M cap to get the team drafted in the first place. It will be like a typical autodraft league that way. Just that in this league everybody already knows the players that everybody else chose, and their ballparks.

I would prefer that we always respect the 80M. I understand that it forces one to drop some players when dropping to 24 players, but I feel that allowing a surplus could open a can of worms---Somebody taking a roster of 88M and dropping a 8M player. So we would need to go over drawing a line, etc, etc.

A firm 80M limit is the easiest way to deal with this.

Plus it adds a bit of fun during the FA transactions.

No worries, my drafted team is below $80m. I just wasn't sure how the computer would handle it if it wasn't.
