I know they were hard to pass up but hating them made it tough to swallow taking them. LOL hope the Cardinals pitching can hold up.

I just couldn't pass them up = was considering the NATS, Dodgers, Rockies, Blue Jays, White Sox along with the Yankees BUT I never thought both the Yanks & Dodgers would slip to #9!!! TOUGH CHOICE :).

Yankees were on my mind. So were Philly and others. I figure the div configuration matters a lot in 24 teams. With no WC, you have to beat out 5 other teams to make the playoffs. I could see a team in the East winning 90 but not winning the div.

So, how does that individual player draft work? with my #1 I get to pick anyone from this set:

Draft/Waiver Eligible
Royals (minus SP B. Bannister, C M. Olivo, 3B M. Teahan)
Indians (minus RP k. Woood, INF J. Carroll)
Orioles (minus C C. Moeller, INF T. Wiggington, 3B M. Mora)
Astros (minus RP J. Velvarde, RP L. Hawkins, SS M. Tejada, LF C. Lee)
Pirates
Reds (minus P K. Wells)
Luxury Tax Free Agents - C Y. Torrealba, INF J. Hairston, DH H. Matsui, P C. Gaudin

Is that right?

That's right and mbrake has given you the OK (several times) to go ahead and make your pick. That will help to speed up this process.

The only one you can't pick would be any of the 4 players at 0.5 MM which Yankee or Dodger owners have the "right" to pick up - fat chance you would waste your pick on one of them. They only get them because it would be impossible for them to fill out a roster with only 13 hitters on their teams.

So, if you're ready, go ahead on the main stream and make your first draft pick.

Great! the team I picked wasn't even in the running for you

I also almost took the Mariners so this might be a long league for me as you had them as a bottom 4 pick. I say the A's will be last
