since I had some time between picks, I calculated draft time for each manager thru round 13, ignoring any time less than 1 hour. Here are the results:

Several teams will be over the 80 mil mark but below 100 mil. I suspect that everyone will be below 100 mil. So we have a choice whether to use the 100 or 200 mil salary cap. Also, although the rules provide for waivers during the season, I suspect that after waivers run, there will be almost no eligible players worth picking up. So, I think that, other than trades, we pretty much will have fixed rosters through the season.

Is there yet a decision on 100 vs 200 mil cap?

Franky, $200M. I already set my team up and am adding players as we go. As you said, it doesn't make much difference, as the number of players is limited.

I'm guessing Mr. Kite and jsam don't know how to do proxies? Maybe we should teach them for future pain relief?

This draft may make me never do another non clock draft ever again.

But at least I don't have to pay yet......maybe not for a while!

The rules say the draft clock is 8 hours. I don't know if that includes the early AM. Also, Mr. Kite gets double the time because he has 2 consecutive picks. Since we are going to be in round 18, it seems like it wouldn't be that big a deal to skip over someone in excess of 8 or 16 hours. It's not like they will miss out on a premium player. At this point, we are filling out rosters with part time players or long shots.

This looks like it will be a fun league and I'm itching to get started.

When latorrer posted that, it was May 14th!! It's taken us 13 days to go from Round 2 to Round 17.

This is the sixth draft I've participated in, and by far the slowest.

Let's start adhering to the clock or we'll be another two weeks. Starting now, the clock rules.
