NLD 12

Wineman, and Joe,

Semper posted this one page back on the 15th:

[quote:ed6a723e54]7. Semper (on significant business travel schedule now / willing to step aside for a more available owner)
[/quote:ed6a723e54]

Now I'm certainly willing to wait BUT we have no idea how long he'll be gone. Beach is here and ready to step in and he's an original member so I plopped him in Sempers spot.

Joe I know you have e-mail contact with Semper, has he told you when he'll be available???

Now if we don't hear from korkie and the perenially absent and always late Day we may be waiting indefintly anyway.

Travel Schedule

Postby Semper Gumby » Wed Mar 22, 2006 5:42 pm

9'r,

I neglected to check the postings until it had been too late. You selected someone before I could correct the misread on my note.

My notice of travel means I'll need a nudge or two to load my proxies if they empty during the day. Otherwise, I can't recall ever being a slow drafting owner in the past leagues.

I recall from the past we had a few owners who loved fast drafting and didn't brook a delay very well. So, I just wanted to be considerate of the other owners.

If you are down an owner, I am happy to put my $20 into the game again. I'll just need a reminder if my clock runs too long. I can be reached by e-mail 24/7

And, I pick trash players anyway yet they seem to generate much banter from the peanut gallery.

Anyone have Korkie and/or Day's email addresses? We should send them a note telling them to get with it. I know Day isn't really participating much in the Sporting News community anymore so he needs a heads up. I'm not sure what's up with Korkie.

Semper:

You are in! :D

I posted that I would be available as a fill-in if needed for the next draft - the operative words being "if needed". You are permanent member of NLD, the spot is rightfully yours, and you should not have hesitated to speak up.

If you folks need a player to fill-in, I am available as an alternate.

Beach!

Postby Semper Gumby » Thu Mar 23, 2006 10:38 am

Beach,

I feel like an Ohio driver at a four way stop here.

I have a proposal for you -

We can either split a team (I have a credit for the opening game) like Joe / Wineman or we can alternate seasons.

I'm happy to share as I have several 80s teams underway that I love folllowing. Moreover, I am working on an off-frame restoration of a 1968 Toyota FJ40 (400 c.i.d. V8 ) so my wife will kill me if I fall back into the computer after messing up the garage and house.

SG:

A very generous offer but completely unnecessary. I was a permanent member of NLD once upon a time but left and my spot was taken by bigmahon, a most worthy competitor. Now, I am pleased to fill in if the situation arises much like ArrylT did last year.

Don't mess up the garage and the house. It's always important to keep the wife happy. Do try to win the NLD title. :D

Hey guys,

Has it been decided if we are going to use Penn's site minus the player salaries? If so i'm in, if not I may not have the time to do the old message board style draft to which I may need a replacement.

Yeah, I definitely vote for Penn's site with no salaries as well, we can all keep track of our own salaries now that the TSN site is up...
