Bob - I must disagree with you as well. Anyone who kept more than 25 players does not start "drafting" at Round 26.

but do you not agree that everyone had the opportunity to protect 30 players, the 25 players that some teams protected is the MINIMUM number of players to be protected.

So those teams chose to only protect 25.. I am going to assume that at least 5 of the players cut were cut because they had a bad year.. I would suggest to you .. those teams that cut those 5 BAD players have an advantage this year as they get to replace bad drafts from the year before....

lots of different ways of looking at it .......maybe we change the rule next year to only one protected number.. say 30...

if those managers who protected 25 want to back to their list of players that they cut and put them on their protected list BEFORE Monday.. I have no problem with that .. if that resolves the issue

I am more than willing to trade you Millwood.. heck I protected Burnitz whose salary is some like 1.63 million .. Rios who is .96 million.... but I drafted them with hope.. and hope kept them on my team.. I should say HOPE kept them on my team.. bseball ability etc had nothing to do with it....

Time out. I protected players with the assumption that I would get a pick on round 26. Every keeper draft I have done in any SOM format for keepers has allowed those with extra picks to continue picking at the end of rounds, not to jump in at the beginning. (80's decade, Know when to hold em, both ATG2 keepers I was in, ATG2 decade leagues etc)

I CANNOT disagree more. My proxy list would have been COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Changing my proxy list before Monday does not change the issue to me.

If the rules will be indicated that I can only protect 25 players in order to get a 26th round pick, then I will need to blow up my entire team and re-budget my positions etc. We had freaking 2 noths to discuss this and I guess I am also at fault for not bringing up the obvious, but that seems to be the theme lately.

Gentlemen. I will not load one proxy until this issue is resolved 100%. Sorry for being pissy once again in a league, but this make up the rules as we go along shiit doesn't fly with me. I love you all but damn we need to think before we act here.

Sykes.. we agreed to discuss protected lists etc after this season.. in Hawaii if I recall... so just to be clear, everyone starts their live draft at round 26....
