live draft question

live draft question

Postby dharmabums » Thu Jun 24, 2010 2:26 pm

I just signed up for the 2009 Sunday Night Draft, but I'm realizing that I'm not so sure how that works nowadays. I haven't done a live draft (other than through the message boards) for a few months. How and where are they done now? I found an older message about Diamond Dope doing the 2009 drafts. Is that true for all the live draft leagues, other than the message board ones?

Thanks for any help, at least in reducing my confusion on this point.

I think it is on the site you go to to rate your players. I don't think it is Diamonddope. Just go to your team around 9:30 pm EST and it will put you at the draft site. If I am wrong I also need to know what to do. Mike

Thanks. Yeah, that's how I remember that it worked before and hopefully there aren't any changes. I was a bit concerned because there aren't any mock drafts running from the help/faq link. I got a little gun-shy about live draft teams after that debacle of a league, with the roster dumping and message screaming (a league which ended up being my first championship, BTW).

You can pre-rank your list of players prior to the draft.

Half-hour before the draft, you will be prompt on to a draft window. By clicking rank, you will have the choice between TSN's rank or your pre-ranking. If you assist live to the draft, though, you will at any time be able to draft any player you want simply by highlighting him and push the draft button. Your pre-ranking list takes charge of the picks only if you are absent, though it's there for you to consult it.
