[quote:6b6588bcd7="litangel"]DOHowser changed his bid on Reardon, I think we had a rule about not changing bids, but he did it after only 2 minutes. I would like a ruling from the league about whether this is OK or not. It's alright with me either way.[/quote:6b6588bcd7]
I don't think we have a rule against it. As long as the changed bid occurs before 24 hours is up and the winner is announced, I see no problem.
I know I've seen at least one changed bid during the process, and I don't think the increased bid won the player anyway.

Too hard. I think I'm all caught up now. Just need to nominate a new hitter.[/quote:58654c743a]

I'd be curious to know what people do (or did) for a living. But not in this thread obviously... I will resurrect the chat thread for this topic.

I guess it was our other league where we have a rule against changed bids, I guess here we don't. Not sure that feels great to me, maybe I'd like a time limit on changed bids, maybe within an hour or something. But I would definitely like that rule clarified, there are times I might have changed a bid if I had the option.

Okay, I understand it Bill if you say we can change our bid if we do it within 2-5 minutes, but I do not think you need to up your opening bid on Gonzalez from .55 to .80 just to make a point.

As for the bid-changing thing. There was no rule in place for this league saying that you could not change a bid. I think it is probably too late for it now. Like I wrote before, I saw it happen at least once, but I can say I never thought of doing it myself - partially because I always was certain of my bid when I made it.

If my changing the bid on Reardon has caused a problem, just go ahead and accept the first bid. No problem.
