Kotsay AND Edmonds

Kotsay AND Edmonds

Postby 1crazycanuk » Thu Mar 23, 2006 8:25 am

I think I'm going to use them both. I was thinking Kotsay will be the backup and start on the road in pitchers parks. Sound like a plan?

Almost 3M is a lot to spend on a backup but with Edmonds injury potential it might not be a bad idea. I haven't seen any numbers from Edmonds in either of my leagues because he is a free agent in both. I am using Kotsay at CF on both my teams. He has a .343 BA after 35 ab's in the one that is in play. I know that won't last but it's a good start.

there is at least one cheaper sub CF who would serve as a better alternative than Kotsay :)

Yeah it's a bit expensive but I like him. Plus, I feel it's ok when most of the top options are taken, to have an expensive backup when you're in a 100 mil league. I may use him in pitchers parks because Edmonds has so many #HRs.

jamesgang, who would that be? I also have Nook Logan (who's card don't seem too bad to me) more to use as a pinch runner.

maybe but I like his D and his offence seems ok for Coors. ;) I'm not as worried about his cost in a 100 mil league as I would be in an 80.

canuck...corey sullivan isnt bad for 1.40..i drafted him with idea of mostly covering for edmonds so of course during the very first game of year Jenkins gets hurt for 7 games and Sullivan steps in...

yes sullivan looks like a good guy to have....

jason ellison at .62 million is a cheap back up who can play all 3 positions with a 2 rating...high E rating, but as a back up hes good....
