O.K., here's the finished product as it stands right now:

I'm still looking to trade one of my backup C for a backup OF, but I'm waiting for possible offers ......

At your home park without knowing the rest of the parks in your league I like.

May-Like
G.Davis-Like
Doerr-Ok, great fielding pretty good pop. Like Gordon better here if available.
Yount-great.
Doby- should do fine in your park, great defense.
Meusel-Great defense, lots of doubles. Will do well in small ball parks.

Brooks Robinson- How about Ron Cey, Jones, or Boyer for more money here.
Devore-If this is the lead-off guy I guess it is ok. Fred Clarke and Keller (more money) works here.

This would involve downgrading your starters some what. It seems to me you have a mixture of a small-ball type of team and HR type of team. Never really tried your park so I could be wrong.

Interesting team, here are your numbers:

OBP vs RH 0.336
SLG vs RH 0.406
OPS vs RH 0.742
HR Rate vs RH 3.1
BPHR vs RH 41

OBP vs LH 0.369
SLG vs LH 0.419
OPS vs LH 0.788
HR Rate vs LH 2.6
BPHR vs LH 30

Good SPs, decent pen, good defense, limited speed, painfully low OBP, especially vs RHs, OK power.

Suggest trading Meusel for some OBP at the top of the lineup and downgrade in SP. Klingon is out there, he would be a good get. Leifield, Pollet or Ford might be an alternative to Hubbell.

Another CR experiment ... :)

Best of luck, sschu

Well despite the name of the team may I suggest the following:

1) Lead off with Meusel
2)Drop Robinson PU Pendleton - faster has power good clutch
3)Drop McKain PU Martinez and have him as your closer on both sides - I would do this no matter what
4) Drop Beggs PU Humphries this will give you an R3 reliever as your setup man which HAL will use more, not the best of relievers but I have had success with him
5) Drop Camintz pickup Adams - you now have a true stud
6) Drop Hubbell pick up Lanier - with no BP singles he is perfect for your park
7) This gives you the money to drop a nickel bum for Orval Overall or Curt Simmons,

If Martinez was the setup guy he would get killed. But anyone with a good closer rating seems to do fine as a closer. I would not hesitate to use him. MCKain I have seen get killed time and again. Have you ever tried Tippy as a closer on one your power park teams?

lousy polo team with Tippy

Tippy not great but not bad really, the team had many flaws. Entire league was mostly Fenway and Polo
