Another Summer League - auction thread

Postby kimkrichbaum2 » Thu Jul 08, 2010 9:19 pm

I claim Donnie Bush .52 and Neil Robinson .61 to fill out my team with hitters, need one more pitcher

I suggest we add one more pitcher to speed up the auction, now that all the hitters are gone.

[quote:70163f7fa0="litangel"]@*&^%!#$%^&*(*

you were supposed to put up two before I put up one, I could have waited!

Grrrrrrrrrr! I hope you have lots of injuries at other positions and pay for having 3 Shortstops

(PS, I know this is all a game, and it is not that serious, just expressing the frustration of the moment.)[/quote:70163f7fa0]

If I remember correctly (and correct me if I'm wrong here) didn't you WIN the whole shebang last time around, Kim.

I'm pretty sure you got 2 free credits to my zilch on that league.

(although I certainly do remember saying @*&^%!#$%^&*(* after I got sent home with my tail between my legs)

All is forgiven, it is just a game!

But i may get you for this sometime :D

PS, Hackra, you have a great team and would be my pick to win it all.

I suspect you will get the upper hand several more times. Thanks for the vote of confidence, but Hal is a tricky %$@&$!, and my nickel is on whoever gets the wildcard every time.

I'm looking forward to the next auction already 8-)

I've completed six auctions. Four went to the playoffs (three for three with ATG). Two lost in the semis. Two lost in the finals. So either I'm due to win it all or due not to make the playoffs.... :?

11. carr20 - IN (opening bid for Mantle)
12. ironwill - IN[/quote:3e7db55a3b]

Hitters - all teams full :!: :D

Pitchers -
Rollie Fingers opened at .50 by BobBoone at 11:46
Joe Wood from miduar opened at 0.62 at 23:41

in reverse slide order-
litangel needs 1 SP and has $2.94 mil. (can't be outbid)
hackra needs 3 RP and has $3.76 max bid - 3.26
joekendall needs 2 pitchers (any) and has $1.23 max bid - .73
BobBoone needs 6 pitchers (4 must be starters) and has $4.16 max - 1.66

current roster values -

litangel - 179.43 (needs 1 more)
carr20 - 184.03 (full)
ironwill - 193.39 (full)

(I believe these numbers are accurate)

since litangel cannot be outbid on a starting pitcher, maybe he should just name who he wants and claim him.

We're getting there 8-)

How exactly does this midseason draft work? Will it be to my advantage to have bidding cash left over?

Mid-season draft is limited to whatever cash you have available up to $200 mil. Whether it's an advantage to fill up now (and also get a lower seed in the stadium draft) or save some cash till later is entirely up to you....

Well since my bidding cash won't make a difference at mid-season, I'll do as hackra suggested, and open a 3rd pitcher, I claim Bob Lemon for 2.94, since I can not be outbid. I am full. If you want to continue the 3rd pitcher, we can figure out who that would slide to.

Also, I want to start planning for next auction. I will do that on our chat thread, so if you are interested let's figure out what is next.
