NLD 12

Postby Jeepdriver » Thu Mar 23, 2006 3:10 pm

I'm a newcomer (to NLD) so if I need to step aside for a former member I would gladly do so, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings in the least. So don't be afraid to say something should that be warranted. Otherwise, I intend to make amends on my pitiful rookie season.

Okay Now that the gang's all here ( hello korkie and Day :D ), we can get rolling. Beach thanks for stepping up, if we get another opening your first on the list.

SFMDJ, I hear you on the riskiness of using penn's site, but I'm willing to give a go reguardless. If we have problems, we'll work them out.

That said,

If now one has any objestions, here's my suggestions-

We start officially on Monday the 27th of March. I'll set up penn's site tomorrow morning, don't have time tonight. Once that's done we can unofficially begin.

If anyone has a login on his site thats different than on this one let me know NOW.

I think I'd like to go 100mil, seems most of you are agreeable to that.

other rules:

20 round draft, 19 players plus one stadium

DH

100mil

Waited waivers after 6 player autodraft

the only other new rule I'm aware of, that we need to settle, we can have progressive penalty for drops like the 80's game ( starts at 5%- keeps going up to 20%) or we can keep the 20% penanlty. I'd like to go progressive, but I'll leave it up to you guys.

Draft order:
1. Jeep
2. Superflymac
3. Jamesgang
4. Day-in-a-life
5. ArrylT
6. Ninersphan
7. Semper
8. Wineman
9. qksilver
10. Korkie
11. hawkeye
12. BigMahon

Problems? questions? LMK

Since we've always gone with an 80 mil cap, I would like to stay with that for the first league of the year. Course, I didn't count up the votes, maybe it was overwhelming for 100???

I do not think anyone voted in favour of the 100m cap, but several of us stated that we had no objection to using one. I think it might be a good idea firstly as I hear the 2006 pricing is more expensive than in past years. We can always go back to 80m next season. Secondly, without being able to track salaries automatically this will help ensure us mathematically challenged owners do not go over the cap when drafting. :D

Progressive penalty is good by me.

I like $100M this time around, $80M next. I also vote progressive penalty.

I'd like to stay with the $80 mil cap (always was our opening round standard)but it seems like that won't be the popular vote, but the progressive waivers works for me.

Bad news,
Apparently penn has shut down his site for new drafts. I tried to set one up today and got a message saying he has shut down the site for new drafts. That means were stuck with a good old fashioned message board draft.

as of right now I've got 5 votes for 100mil and 2 for 80mil with the following people not voting yet:

Jeep
Day
Semper
hawkeye
bigmahon
Ninersphan
