3D A.L. ONLY Liver Draft on DD Chat

Postby TomSiebert » Sun Aug 08, 2010 7:58 am

Made it to Ocracoke after a brutal couple days trip to find I got a couple OK guys but nobody i really wanted, and now I'm building a team much different than the one I planned. Proxies in, no cell here to contact me if I run out, but this year's house has wireless, so I'll check in from time to time.

Sarge -- BC, for a while, was a GENIUS comic strip. I had several of the compilation paperbacks as a kid that were hilarious.

My god, these teams are going to have big holes. And already I'm running out of money. My pitching is going to suck, and I've got to keep Bailey below 150 IP for 141 games and still somehow stay in the hunt in what looks like an impossible division.

Dunno how the other league championship is going to turn out....whether the kids'll either be dumping gatorade on me or I'll be drinking rum runners until I puke. After Padilla finally turned back into a pumpkin for game 5, We gotta win the last two at home. But the pitching matchups seem favorable, everybody's healthy, and I'm not despairing yet.

Most Use of Proxies Standings

Postby Al Hogg » Sun Aug 08, 2010 12:01 pm

Cal running out of proxies before his double-pick at this past turn sends him tumbling down the standings. Eight league members, though, went 2-for-2 in rounds six and seven.

Al 7/7
Jason 6/7
Meat 6/7
Tom 6/7
Zim 5/7
Turtle 5/7
Cal 4/6*
SGT D 3/7
Merkel 3/7
Curt 1/7
Mark 0/7
Terry 0/8

*had first pick, thus could not proxy for the first round

If I can get as many AB/games out of Iwamura as I did Omar Infante (until the postseason, anyway), I'll be happy to have gotten another huge bargain at 2b. Actually, though, it's probably far more likely I got lucky this go round and Iwamura misses half the season.

Havent' been to Cortland in years, but it's a nice small town. Went to school 45 minutes away, interviewed for a reporting job there after graduation (which I didn't get, nor did I stay in the field long after I did get one).

Like my team so far, but still have some major position spots to fill.
