First of all, an apology, Hawk, for taking your guy, Hudson. Always embarrassing to select a player from someone else's roster, and especially so in this situation, to name one who belongs to Hawk. Honest mistake. At the same time, I can't apologize for saying that we should follow our own rules. Working around the rules, as we are now planning to do, is very confusing. It also is sure to cause problems the next time someone doesn't follow the rules, because they, too, will expect to be allowed to get away with it, and rightly so. What is even the point of having rules if we don't enforce them?

Billy - I share your concerns and if I didn't think that this was the fairest and simplest way to correct a problem I wouldn't have proposed it. That said, I think I can safely say, without casting blame towards anyone, that this league has had some problems with record keeping and other matters since inception. And I don't mean to brag, and can understand how some might feel I'm being too..."pushy" maybe....in trying to get things cleaned up a bit, but I have had years of experience both participating and running leagues of this kind. I hope I don't come off as this power craving usurper, but if I am going to participate in a league I want to make sure that things run smoothly and more importantly - accurately. I believe we both share the same concerns about adherence to the rules, and in no way am I an advocate of changing or ignoring them on a whim (Hawk can verify that I'm sure :lol: ).

I can assure you we won't be running into THIS specific problem again. And it's my aim to make sure that we seldom run into these kinds of problems at all - and all done according to the rules we live by.
