I sense from their recent picks that these folks know it already, but several teams have now spent enough that there are players on the board they cannot pick now.
On the other hand, five teams are still eligible to pick up Lou Marson, who seems to be the highest paid player left on the board at $2.22 (and probably would not be a bad platooner in a stadium without many ballpark home runs). No AL pitchers left with salaries greater than .89, and no starters left with salaries greater than $0.67. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Here's the data as of SGT D's round 22 pick:
Amount Spent, Live Draft Players Still to Choose, Max Per Player
Merkel 69.62 2 0.88
Terry 69.61 2 0.89
Turtle 69.51 2 0.99
Tom 69.10 2 1.40
Curt 69.29 1 1.71
Zim 69.18 1 1.82
Al 68.35 2 2.15
Cal 67.89 2 2.61
Meat 67.08 2 3.42
SGT D 63.76 3 6.24
Jason 64.15 2 6.35
Mark 63.35 1 7.65
