Those of you who know me know i did not come to this decision lightly. In the future, I recommend that you announce these dates well in advance and refrain from improvising so much. It's an onerous task for the Commish to pull together 24 managers for drops and draft. Given the lack of talent in the supplemental pool, perhaps we can eliminate this supplemental draft in future years?

Judging from picks, I doubt any player will be used in season two, so I'm, personally not concerned about that. The double bonus would be that the FA draft will be a bit more meaningful the following year if no potential talent is siphoned off.

The last time I was able to check the thread we were still waiting on cuts. From that point til QK phoned me informing me I was skipped already (that is how i could issue a proxy) was about 4 days, 2 of which were on the weekend. How is that cool? Regardless, I agree that the talent pool is dwindled here but that is not really the point. It is the principal of the matter here not the fact that I missed out on scrub players. It is simple to post the draft schedule, get all the mangers to acknowledge it and go from there. What happens when there is talent available and it does cost you?

I am also a proponent of the draft slots. my qualm is not so much with our procedure just how it was implemented in this case.

Let's all take a deep breath. If anyone is really pissed off, just remember I was the one who traded prospect Mat Latos for a draft pick and selected Ryan Franklin. He ended up being on another teams roster and not eligible as shown on the spreadsheet. Rather than throw the draft into disarray, I agreed to select Clay Condrey many picks later. Latos may end up being the best SP next year! I am the commish in a regular 20 team computer strat league and realize how hard it is to keep track of all the rosters, deadlines, etc... Many kudos to the guys who keep this league running, let's try to keep this enjoyable for all. My two cents. J Law
