Here's a key question, to my way of thinking. Mauer vs. Jason Bay. Bay's card look's a hell of a lot better, in many ways, for a lot less money. Input, please.

Two things:

I might be in the minority of thinkers here, but I prefer batting average to obp in a severe pitchers park with a middle of the order type guy. Runs are always hard to come by, even more so without a DH. Unless the bases are loaded, you can't score with a walk. Bay is darn good, but adding him to how your team is set up now, I'd pass if your plans were for him to be batting 3rd through 5th.

On the other hand, I understand your concern about Mauer's possible 15 gamer with the under 600 PA's. I'm of the same philosophy generally, so I won't tell to ignore that fact. Though I can see the teams, I haven't a clue how to see what's still out there. It's possible, or it used to be possible anyway, to see the FA's. But I'll assume the quality of hitters are scarce at this point.

Latest version of team - won't be the same by 10 PM, I'm pretty sure. But let's see where it goes. I'm thinking Doug Davis for Lannan to beef up middle relief, but remains to be seen, and one trade lurking out there - not read yet. That'd be -

Couple of things I'd still do:

1. Rid myself of Varitek (Santos perhaps)
2. A d rating of 1 is still not enough for me to keep Teixiera on this team. He's not a Petco hitter.
3. Too many middle of the road bullpen guys. Consolidate the 3 into 1 good one. They won't get much use in Petco. Or keep Fulchino only and spend the coin on another SP or hitter

IMO, you are over-invested in relievers. Replace Thatcher, Coffey, & Ziegler with [b:c2cb0a7d28]Grabow [/b:c2cb0a7d28], [b:c2cb0a7d28]J.Miller[/b:c2cb0a7d28], and [b:c2cb0a7d28]J.Wright[/b:c2cb0a7d28]. D.J.Carrasco & Jepson are also a nice values for situational righty.[/color:c2cb0a7d28]
