Our Mystery Card games - The '70s Game, Back to the '80s, Back to the '90s

Postby Palanion » Thu Aug 26, 2010 11:22 am

So, let me gaze into my crystal ball, and I see for the 90s game:

30 ballparks
Derek Jeter and Kirby Puckett have a 2 range
some 20xx cards are in the set
the 1993 Barry Bonds
the 1994 Tony Gwynn (flirting with .400 when Bug Selig canceled the season)
80% chance of not going wrong with Pedro
the 1995 Big Unit is a stud
if you get the '99 Mo Rivera, he'll be a [i:399740cccf]huge [/i:399740cccf]value
both seasons in Toronto for the Rocket

Herb Score's Rookie or 1956 Card.

And some of the 1962 Mets.

Thanks Bernie. Lovin' ATGV and can't wait for some of your Wish List fixes.

Without baseball in the winter, I'm not alone in needing my National Pastime Fix!

I don't know if this is a new feature or if I've just somehow never noticed, but when I move my cursor over the defensive rating of a player on the free agent list, it pops up a display window that includes all their positions and ratings (so you don't have to click on the player to see that). It must be new since I'm searching free agents all the time. I thought it was cool.

I spent dozens of games during the '94, '95, and '96 seasons in Mile High Stadium and then Coors Field and really enjoyed the 19-13 games.
The inflated numbers by Galarraga, Walker, Bichette, Castilla, Burks, and even Eric Young will make the mystery card even more interesting. Some of these guys played on other teams before and after Coors Field so we would all be praying to get their Coors Field crazy cards....rather than their ordinary numbers from other teams.

Coors Field should be a 1-19 singles and hrs ballpark.

Not a big mystery card fan, but new players and a new game is always fun to check out.

Neither would I. If a card is not used by you then just don't use it. But don't take it away from me.

As far as who to add my want list is same as always. More great basestealers, especially the 118 steal version of Lou Brock. I would like to see Vizquel that year he had a record low e rating at SS.
