Lots, but lots of input there, Riggo. I'm digesting - only thing I'm not seeing is that we're non-DH, and I thought at least Damon brought some offense to team. Agreed totally with Tex - mistake in my draft, over-focused on SP, which I'm bearing in mind. I see the analysis on bullpen - is it maybe the most difficult concept for newer players? The whole super-reliever concept - will HAL use the one best often enough to merit, if you set up your pitching prefs accordingly? I'd like to go for that. So far, Varitek's worked out perfectly, though - he's injured, so Mauer's good to go. I'll be analyzing.

The pitcher controls work. You can still get some bizarre results for individual games, but overall HAL will use your pitchers based on the way you set your controls.

FWIW, it's not that there's really anything wrong with Variteck. Rather, there's an extra .50M you could have spent elsewhere. He's just a little too expensive for a backup catcher.

And yeah, if it's not a DH league, you don't need Damon. Don't ever play a "4" in the OF.

On the dollar thing, it looks like there'll be some players made available, from VERY early action (6 games played). Obviously, early losses count the same as any, in the meantime. Shortstop situation was platoon, believe it or not, but made move because of Ramirez' bad D. Don't pick on platoon, though, until you look at both cards. Escobar's gonna have to bat 11th against lefties.

For what it's worth. I've had Lincecum in Petco twice. Both times he walked away with both the Cy Young and MVP.

I've had Haren once. He is 7-28 with two starts left.

Martin has been a good value at C. Rollins has been OK as well.

Just started with Bay, and he's tearing up the leage after 30 games, with 16 home runs.

The best bargain I've seen for Petco is Cole Hamels. With 6 games left Hamels has a better ERA in Petco than my top three starters (Lincecum, Haren and Vazquez)
