I've added Cone. As for the guys who were .75ers in the 80s, we haven't resolved this issue yet. I'm still opposed to treating them as 90s rookies since we've been using them throughout the 80s. It's also another question of whether we would draft them prior to 1990 -- it would seem odd to have one team have rights to these players, while other teams have access to them as FA's. Or would these specific players no longer be available to everyone?

My preference is that these players are FA's as of 1990, available in the autordraft. But so far, I'm the only one with this opinion.

Well if we draft them as rookies in 1988 they would be treated as if they did not have an 80's card and the team that drafted them would have their rights going into the 1990 season. Meanwhile they would still be FA for any team to use in '88 and '89.

We can just keep a list of these guys and any more like them that would be 1989 rookies and dump them into the 1990 draft if that is your ruling. The 1990 class will be big enough on its own I think and these guys would help beef up the 88 and 89 player drafts IMO.

The third option (the middle way) is that they are draftable in 88 and only the owner gets to use the $.75 80's player card (so they are not a free agent)unless they drop them, then they are free agents available for anyone to take (and carryover to 89 and 90's onward).

As regards to the 75 cents guy who cost more in
the 90s....

I think they should be free game in the 80's and
then part of the first all 90's (aka 1990) draft.
I mean are they really going from .75m to 7.5m?
More like .78m. Can they be mission critical?

It is kind of the opposite of having the .75m+
guys in the 70s who became .75m guys in the 80s.

I may have overlooked it but if we draft say Jose Rijo, does he just stay in our "minors" so to speak until the 90 season starts?
Do we still use the 80 million cap for our 88 season with him in our minors?

Just looking how to deal with my draft strategy.
