Some Lineup help!?

Not sure exactly how to piece this one together

Heres the link: http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=285134&stats=actual&onroster=1

Also, if anyone could explain the pen options in relation to the "Dont Rel. B4" option and what the F# means?

And specifically for my team, who would be the better closer option between Bailey and Aardsma?

To my mind you've spent too much on pitching, especially your relievers. You've spent about $41 in a $100 league. I would not spend more than $35, but that's just me. I've overrated pitching in the past at the expense of my record.

I'd keep Bailey, swap out Aardsma for a good lefty as your setup man, and swap out Alfredo, Luke and Daniel for [b:7d6ba2e085]cheap[/b:7d6ba2e085] extreme guys: 7R, 7L or more. Then, use the remaining money on offense.

Zimmerman never produces (that I've seen) and you need a catcher with stronger defense and minus rated arm. You need a stronger fielding 2B.

As I can't see what FA options are left before tonight's start for you, I'd say make these moves and see how much money you have left for stronger bats.

The "F" in pitcher fatigue is the fatigue level the pitcher has reached in a game. They start at F9, and depending on their endurance, they get worse as they go along beyond that "point of weakness." There is a good explanation in the rules and wiki on this.

"Don't Rel. before" means that the computer will not release your pitcher until he reaches that point of weakness level. Use with caution. Again, you can find resources on this online here.

Sorry, I thought you asked about your lineup. Anyway, this is what I wrote about below.

As for personal management, I would certainly try to get someone else than Belliard at second base, players with multiple positions are not good deals when playing second base. If you're looking for some pop, check out for a platoon with Ellis hitting vs rhp. He has some pop.

I take it that you have a Jones/Upton platoon, with Lind as an everyday dh.

Jones has the best onbase, with Span a close second. Span also has speed and has a A-bunting, a little bonus because corners will play in. So Span looks like the ideal lead-off.

Jones has the best offensive card, with Lind, Zimmerman, and M. Cabrera pretty much a wash in Coors. Jones' best card means he should be hitting #2 or #4. His clutch is bad, which suggests a #2 spot, and we saw that he has more on-base than anyone else, so #2 makes sense. We don't want three consecutive lefties, so that forces us to put Lind #4. Not a bad choice considering that his clutch is the "least worst" of them all. Zimmerman and Cabrera have pretty much the same card: I put Zimmerman 5th simply his clutch is not worst than Cabrera, but I do so fully knowing that Cabrera's 25 gbA is a major offset at the 3rd spot.

McClutchen stands alone as the 6th best card, and his clutch is not bad.

Montero, Cabrera, and Belliard lay behind. Special note about Belliard: has more power and has awful gbA numbers. So we'll try to put him behind a good stealer. Putting him behind McClutchen would have your team with three straight righties, so I will put him behind Cabrera. Cabrera's hit-and-run ability might serve behind McClutchen, and this will reduce the chances of hitting into a dp with Belliard. So putting all together:

Span
Jones
M. Cabrera
Lind
Zimmerman
McCutchen
Cabrera
Belliard
Montero

I don't like this line-up for two reasons: you have three consecutive lefties (from 9th to 2nd), and M.Cabrera 26 gbA is atrocious at the 3rd spot.

So let's switch Cabrera and Jones

Span
M.Cabrera
Jones
Lind
Zimmerman
McCutchen
A.Cabrera
Belliard
Montero

I could have had Jones 4th and Lind 3rd, but the clutch would be weaken at the 4th spot, but moreover you have super-power-lefty-crusher Upton waiting on the bench, and it is my guess that Hal will call for a lefty to face Jones, so you better have Jones behind a right-handed hitter.
