Those players should be on everybodys draft card.

How did so many players with only one 100 AB season make the cut? I've seen cards with 10, 15 ABs. IMO a player should not be included in a set unless they have five 100 AB seasons, with a minimum of three in the card set decade. I can see one less than 100AB season if the other 4 seasons averaged 300 ABs or more, but some of these 90s guys shouldn't be here at all.

The sad thing is that the 80's game is so neglected. So many viable players (that meet my above criteria) are left out. A lot of 70's guys who played through the mid-80s and pretty hit-and-miss on the guys who started 86 or 87.

I agree. The 80s are in serious need of a retooling. Not enough player options, the pricing structure is just plain wrong and there aren't enough injury reveals. It looks like they tested the mystery card game with the 80s, then got it mostly right with the 70s.

So, now that we have the '90s, how long before we get the 50s and 60s?

I would agree with that for ATG and the 200X games, but you can't do that in mystery card. It would require knowledge of the players season in advance in order to properly manage his ABs or IPs

Au contraire. Back to the 80's is the supreme game. Pricing structure is just right, tons of bargains, options, you name it. It's nice to have a chance to go to a 23-man roster as well.

I like the pricing structure in the 80s. Some players may be under or overpriced, but finding the bargains and avoiding the overpriced is part of what makes it fun.

'80s game is my favorite as well. The pricing structure allows for many more workable lineup options. The really high priced players in the '70s and '90s make it difficult to field a decent line up if you go after more than one of them.

From someone that has played all the games and seen them all when they started out, the 80's pricing is terrible. It is comparable to ATG I(we are soon headed for ATG IV)where many players were mispriced. I'm not saying you can't like it, as many complained or were dissapointed when the pricing became more accurate in the other games, but it definately needs a major pricing overhaul and in the long run it would be a better game in the pricing issues were addressed. I agree with Frank's assessment of the pricing in the mystery card games. They figured it out in the 70's game, but they need to bring the 80's up to speed.
