[b:58a7c9f65c]Asia had a song about lunch? Hum me a few bars maybe I know it.

NO WAY get a hold of this one. Asia did sing a song about lunch in the afternoon during lunch just before the second break of the day. What time zone is that?

It only keeps getting better don't you think?

Because everyone knows one of these.

Maybe a programming change that would allow the replay of individual games should be added to the list of game improvements. I think Bernie does a great job and I respect the tough decision he made.

Heat of the moment, afternoon delight ?[/quote:72fe258c96]

No way did Asia sing Afternoon Delight. That was the Star Splangled Morning Guy Band or something like that. I am going to google that and get back to you.[/quote:72fe258c96]

I'm aware who sings afternoon delight. My comment was directed to the remark about Asia having a song about lunch. Asia's early hit was in the heat of the moment perhaps a song appropriate for a nooner during the lunch hour. Afternoon delight was a reference to having a nooner at lunch. My attempt at humor. Sorry to confuse some of you.

Thanks for the update on the starland vocal band. Did you know that ABC gave them a summer variety show based on having that one hit song, afternoon delight ? The show was not very good and did not last long.

I just had the chance to read this thread. One thing is clear. Strat players are passionate!

Please don't quit guys(even though I have threatened to quit about a thousand times myself)! We ALL hate losing, that is why we keep coming back. We refuse to be beat. I think that there is a little bit of Ty Cobb in all of us. In general, Strat is the greatest game ever invented! I run a gaming store btw, so I have an idea as to what else is out there.

Please, just give yourselves time to refocus on your next league. That is what I do when I am frustrated.*

* The sentence marked with the symbol "*" is an utter and total lie. In truth I curse, kick the wall, and typically cry like a baby. I do come back though. I love this game!

Jon,

I can appreciate this line of thought- hope we get to play together sometime.

It's not Bernie's fault. It's mine...

...because just before this happened I had just been thinking I should post how well things had been going lately. Games had been running on time and none of the leagues I'm in have had any problems for quite some time.

Guys

Guys it is just a game,,, don't be so competitive that you lose sight of the fun...... for me there is a certain charm about SN's occasional chaos... it is almost as chaotic as the game of baseball itself. Three games do not a season make no matter if you won or lost...baseball is a marathon. The trades or moves you make will determine much more than those 3 games. Relax you are just 2 games out with 3 games to go. You are still in it.... don't give up.

I cannot believe the disgruntled posts in this thread. Are you serious?

There was a glitch that resulted in some people losing their starting pitcher and going all bullpen. Anything other than replaying the games would have been wrong.

So what if you lost a few wins. Is that really how you want to win? You call up your neighbors and brag about how you beat someone's bullpen when they got victimized by a software glitch?

If I need that kind of advantage to win I would rather lose. Show some pride and sportsmanship.
