I am confused ... and I am new to this League but have used this Draft site several times -- but ... the Draft site (Diamond Dope) says the clock is off ... apparently for the weekend ... I asked Dennis to clarify that ... yet someone picked around someone else at pick no. 32-33 ... how come?

Plus I see above that either the Dope site, or Big Ric's computer or browser, was on the fritz at the same time.

These drafts are often slow on weekends ... and I expected this early $200 Mil. one to be ... until later stages when more proxies begin to be set ... very few of us seem to want to set them yet for the earliest rounds of a $200 Mil. draft.

No one affected has asked for picks to be undone, or redone ... and I am not either ... just a clarification of the clock status on weekends and at night ... and [b:911451e482]when the 3-hour clock is actually "on".[/b:911451e482] Thanks!

Jon

After I made my pick my computer waited nearly 15 minutes to confirm the transaction. It looks like others picked with proxies while my pick was in never never land giving them times sooner then my pick.

clock will be turned on tomorrow morning

Postby dspeters5 » Sun Sep 19, 2010 8:48 pm

clock will be turned on tomorrow morning. Three hour clock, I will prod guys with text messages. I start classes at 10AM.

Just be prepared to make five or six rounds tomorrow. I would check in every two hours, because I can. Dont babysit, use proxies if you are coming up and you know you will be gone for awhile.

Turn your proxy buttons to the on position. Consider that your proxies may run out, so again, just check in.

Some of you boys, like to make every pick, fine, just check in more frequently or else be happy when I text you.

My cell is 630-202-9593. If impatient, just text me and I will find a computer and see what is up, or tell me who is on hold.

We are doing great, alittle ahead of schedule

Postby dspeters5 » Sun Sep 19, 2010 9:01 pm

Actually boys, we got alittle head start and are doing great for a weekend. We should crankout 5-7 rounds tomorrow. We are only drafting 18 players.

I am in the Armchair with Minnie, Joe, PJMB, etc. We waited three weeks for a coach to enter his keepers so we could get started. Then the league facilitator waits 14 hours to make his first pick. You guys have it made in the shade here. We crank out 18 rounds in five plus days. We aint got no problems. I have a cellphone number for every coach and every MOST of the time responds rather quickly to my prodding. [b:3ddda65a01]

As always be patient with each other. If you wanna yell call me and we can chat on the couch, while I text the guy.[/b:3ddda65a01]

I'm guessing that the time thing between 32 and 33 is a problem with DD because my pick (33) was a proxy and fired after Ric weaseled Morgan from me.

No clock on weekends. 3 hour clock during the day on weekdays.
