I definitely agree with KD and Smitty. I'm not even saying you have to check in every day or anything, but we started talking about this draft over two weeks ago. Everyone should have checked the thread in that time and should know that we're having a draft now. If you have to be away during times like drafts, please send proxies to people, or post on the thread and ask us to delay the draft.

We do have plenty of time to accomplish the drafts and things we need to do in the year, so we have some flexibility, but it's unfair to those of us who do check things often to have to wait so long for every pick.

I definitely understand that [some] people have lives and other priorities, but this league is starting to get very frustrating.

My condolences for your loss Jagman - my earlier post wasn't directed at you personally but more for a "general consumption" type audience. It's times like this that lets us know where SOM rates on the scale of life's important events.

My condolences for your loss as well, Jagman. Obviously, when life intervenes, we can definitely wait. Like KD, I too wasn't intending on singling anyone out, as it seems to be a general problem with this league.

We're coming off a three round supplemental draft which started on July 27th and finished on August 14th. Granted, we had to pause for a little bit to check some problems with drops and the rules, but still, there's no reason that it should take more than two weeks to do a three round draft.

Sorry for the delay,
I believe some of you are right about needing league members who will stay on top of things. As much as I have enjoyed this league, I just don't have the time to check in like I should or do the research required. I have no idea of who is available for this draft. For that reason, this will be my last season. Please go ahead and line up a replacement for me.
